The Tide Data page provides access to tide (water level) data for the
station indicated in the upper left corner of the page.
If the station is currently active, a plot showing tide data for yesterday
and today will appear when the page is opened. The plot shows predicted
water level in blue, observed water level in red, and the difference between
the observed and predicted water levels in green.
Use the form to change the dates. Click the View Plot button to refresh
the plot. Click the Reset button to reset all the options to their default
values.
Enter dates in the format yyyymmdd. For example, January 23, 2005 should
be entered as "20050123". The default dates are yesterday and
today. Any date range can be entered, but plots will take longer to load
if a large date range is chosen.
A tidal datum is a standard elevation used as a reference to measure water
levels. MLLW, or Mean Lower Low Water, is the default datum..
The data is displayed in feet, and in local time. The default unit for
water level is feet. The default time zone is local.
